About Angel
Hello! My name is Angel- it's a pleasure to meet you! I am a recent graduate from Indiana University. I worked as a TA for a 100-level English class as a freshman in undergrad- something rare for a freshman to be offered. I was not required to take English in college, sadly- this is because my English aptitude scores in high school were so high, I was waived of all English requirements. I scored a perfect 36 on the English and Writing portions of the ACT, and I passed AP English Literature and Language with perfect 5s. I was placed in the Gifted & Talented program for my reading and writing aptitude at a young age, as I was reading at a 10th grade reading level in 4th grade. I hope this assures you of my qualifications. Literature and creative writing have remained a part of my life as hobbies, as I am a member of multiple book clubs and journaling is something I do frequently. I hope I get to share my passion for English with you, and we can both learn together. The more people I talk to about something I read, the more things I realize, and the more angles you get to see it from. I'm confident you will leave my classes with not only more understanding of what you have read, but more excitement about reading again!

I like to assign reading homework in subjects the student is passionate about and discuss what they found interesting and what they struggled with. If they need help with a specific assignment, I try and break down more complex concepts into smaller, more manageable ideas.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for my subject. This is not simply work to me- it is enjoyable, and I want to make it so the students I teach think so as well. Any questions and ideas and differing opinions are welcome with me!
I can tutor K-12, and can revise college-level English work due to my work as a TA to a college English class in my Freshman year of undergrad.
