About Pine
I have studied History from GCSE all the way to degree level, graduating recently from Oxford with a BA in the subject, and I have developed both a love of the discipline and a sensitive understanding of the skills it requires. But I also know that, at GCSE and A-Level, these skills can be hard to master; History is a very rewarding subject, but its top marks call for nuance and care in both writing and knowledge. Having gone through the study of History at both degree level and its early stages, I am well-acquainted with the problems that students tend to face in these areas, and am eager to help others master those abilities that the exams and coursework require.

All lessons are via Zoom calls, and are usually about an hour long. What exactly we cover depends on your needs. If you simply require a better understanding of your subject content, I can walk you through the areas you most need help with and provide recommended revision methods. If it is technique you need help with, feel free to send me your work beforehand, which I will use to identify any weaknesses that need ironing out. Otherwise, you can let me know what you have trouble with on the day, and I can go through the technique with you carefully, as well as set you practice work.
These lessons are aimed at students who are preparing for their History GCSEs or A-Levels. I graduated from Oxford with a BA in Ancient and Modern History (2:1), and am thus well-placed to help improve both your knowledge and technique.
