I am a recent graduate from UC San Diego, and currently in the application cycle for medical school. In college, I worked as a Biology Instructional Apprentice, Biology Supplemental Instructor, Pre-Calculus Supplemental Instructor, and Pre-Calculus Drop-In Tutor. I have a passion for learning and teaching, and hope to inspire and motivate my students to discover their passions in education.

As a tutor, I value and respect the different learning styles and study methods of every student, and navigate my tutoring methods to cater my students’ needs. I believe that with a little encouragement and motivation, every student will have what it takes to succeed in their courses!
I would love to start each lesson with a few minutes of introduction, asking how school is and understanding my student’s agenda for the rest of the week. Then, I will spend the core amount of time assisting with my students’ needs, whether that is helping them with their homework or understanding specific concepts. I am a strong believer of using free resources to help build practice and repetition as well! Then, I will spend a few minutes at the end to summarize everything we have learned for the day, and will send home the tutoring notes that the student made progress on for that day.
