About Georgia
I am a Bachelor or Science graduate from the ANU in Canberra, majoring in Human Biology and Biomedical Science. I am also about to start a Master of Teaching (Secondary) for junior mathematics and science, specialising in senior biology. I currently work at Canberra Grammar School as a LA and provide learning support to students in the primary school, completing the PYP and Australian Curriculum. I work one-on-one with students of differing learning strengths and needs to support their understanding of the content. I am passionate about areas of science including chemistry and biology, and mathematics.

My approach to teaching is ensuring that the child or young person feels confident in their abilities. I belive this happens when they can confidently understand the fundamentals of the given content. Only then will they be able to further extend and apply their knowledge to more complex problems and scenarios. My goal is for the student to be able to understand how the solution works and know where they need to improve to achieve their goals. My role in facilitating this is to support them by generating examples and working through solutions together to build confidence and skills.
