With a strong background in communication and teaching, I specialize in making English approachable and enjoyable. My experience includes helping students with diverse learning needs and simplifying challenging concepts, ensuring that everyone feels confident and supported.

About the lesson

I assess each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals to tailor lessons that meet their individual needs. I incorporate discussions, writing exercises, and reading comprehension activities to engage students actively. I ensure students master grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure as the foundation for strong communication skills. For advanced students, I encourage critical thinking by exploring themes, literary devices, and author intent in texts. I help students improve real-world skills, like essay writing, persuasive writing, and oral presentations. I provide constructive feedback on written and verbal work to help students continuously improve.

Lessons are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour. For younger students or those with specific goals, I can adjust the length to maintain focus and effectiveness.

I have had experience in tutoring and assisting Junior School kids with their academics at my local school in the past, so I have built quite a few strategies to tackle problems which students regularly encounter so that they can make meaningful progress in their studies. Furthermore, I’ve worked in healthcare settings which have honed my communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills I’ve achieved academic success, with a strong background in English/Literature as part of my education, which included critical and creative writing . I am expected to attain a 95+ ATAR.

My English lessons are designed for students from Year 1 to Year 10, including: those seeking to improve their writing and reading comprehension, students needing guidance with literary analysis and essay writing and anyone looking to boost their confidence in English, whether for school exams/assignments, or personal growth. By creating a positive and focused learning environment, I aim to help students develop a love for English and reach their full potential.
