About Katie
I am offering lessons to students from kindergarten to sixth grade. I graduated with a BA in Inclusive Elementary Education with an emphasis in English, as well as SPED and ELL endorsements. I have spent three wonderful years in elementary schools, including my position as an interventionist throughout the height of the COVID-19 epidemic. This gave me experience with teaching both in-person, and online. I have training in data analysis, which allows me to cater lessons to each individual student and their areas of focus.

Teaching reading is my favorite, and I am always looking to help my students find that click, the point where it all begins to make sense. I take pride in implementing a variety of strategies within each lesson, so that I can allow students to see reading concepts from multiple angles. I adapt plans with each lesson, working to find the methods that are the most conducive to the areas of study at hand. I am specialized in teaching phonics, spelling conventions, and grammar.
