Many other teachers will just drone on and on about the material, and never really give you any more insight than what's on the page. I try to go beyond that, and I give you multiple perspectives on what was going on at the time. You are the star of the class room. A lot of figuring out history and historical moments, is putting yourself in the situation and understanding the human point of view. How would you react if you were in that situation? We learn vocabulary, we learn how to write, but most of all, we learn about the "why'. Why did these things happen? What were the reasons and motivations behind these moments? That is the truly interesting part of it all.
