About Hugo
I come from a musical and dramatic background -- I always loved Music and play saxophone and piano, but was good at Maths at school! For that reason I studied Electronic Engineering with Music Technology Systems at the University of York (achieving First Class Honours with Distinction), before going on to study for an MSc in Cognitive Science at the University of Edinburgh, which focused on Machine Learning ! I won multiple awards there during my studies, and have since worked at leading tech consultancies. I recently returned from travelling around South America, so while I am adjusting to life in the UK I am tutoring!

My lessons will be based around increasing your understanding the concepts underpinning mathematical problems and algorithm, and putting it to the test! I will focus on how you approach learning and understanding Maths subjects, and what interests you about maths. I have significant knowledge and experience of diverse Maths applications, so I hope whatever interests you I can inspire you in studying maths!
