About Kaitlyn
I graduated at the top of my class of Phillips Exeter Academy. I was a member of the cum laude society, captain of the cross-country and track teams, and proctor of my dorm. I also ran the investment club and girls who code club.
I am a rising sophomore at MIT. My freshman year course load included physics, biology, chemistry, AB/BC Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Organic Chemistry, and Psychology. I currently have a 5.0/5.0 GPA.
During the year, I also cancer research at the David Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. I am working on determining the binding sight for an antibody on an immune cell using AI protein modeling and targeted mutagenesis.

I believe in teaching kids the tools to approach problem solving. I do not want my students to memorize a formula and apply it to one type of problem. My students will learn how to extract the information they need from a problem and apply what they know to solve it.
Most of my lessons will be spent working through problems to give my students the chance to practice the skills they are learning. The beginning and ends of my lessons will be spent introducing new topics or summarizing key findings from the lesson.
