About Jake
Hello! My name is Jake Robeson, and I'm a 26-year-old passionate about mathematics and education. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2020 and began a fulfilling teaching career at First State Military Academy in Clayton, Delaware, where I taught algebra, geometry, and trigonometry for three years. Throughout my time there, I dedicated myself to supporting students' academic growth by holding after school tutoring sessions for any interested learners and providing specialized AP Calculus test preparation. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I also served as the head girls' volleyball coach, combining my love for athletics with my commitment to mentorship and leadership development. My efforts were recognized when I received First State Military's 2023 Teacher of the Year award.
This past August, my fiancé was offered a job in Colorado so we took the exciting opportunity. I took this chance to enroll in graduate school and am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Administrative Leadership. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy staying active by playing volleyball, improving my culinary skills through cooking, and playing chess. I believe in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to excel academically and reach their full potential. I look forward to leveraging my experience and passion for education to help students succeed in math and beyond!
