About Michelle
I graduated from the University of Charleston with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. During college, I developed a love for writing and research. In my sophomore year of college, I decided to use my skills to tutor middle and high school students in writing. I have spent my undergraduate years writing countless essays of all types and strengthening my creative writing and critical thinking skills. I am now continuing my career in psychology and research in graduate school to obtain a master’s degree in clinical psychology. Writing has been the most crucial factor in college and my career. I am eager to share my writing knowledge with students to help them grow through their academic journey.

Students will be given a chance to get creative with their writing skills and explore age appropriate types of essays (narrative, persuasive, descriptive, argumentative, research, and many more). Each student will be given a lesson plan based on their grade. A typical lesson plan will begin with a rubric that each student will learn about the functions of an essay and how to structure an essay. By the end of the lesson plan a student will complete a full essay and learn how to correct their mistakes. I encourage all students to independently choose essay topics they find interesting or passionate about. My lessons are for any school aged students wanting to strengthen their writing skills or work on a writing concept they find difficult.
