About Shun
I have a Bachelor's Degree in History from UBC. Now I'm in BEd Teacher Education program, studying to become a BC certified teacher. I've got experience with teaching several Social Studies classes. I want to help current middle to high schoolers who are suffering in their studies.
I also graduated from IB high school. Therefore, I'm happy to help current/future IB students who are suffering in their IB History. Not only to teaching IB History, I would like to teach some tips on how to overcome the pressure that comes with IB studies in general.

For students who need help with History, I could teach you based on my own experience at high school, and my practicum at local high school. I've taught Physical Geography 12, Law Studies 12 and Socials 9.
For old graders, it would be more content heavy, and then students would apply some historical thinking and critical thinking skills to further analyze the content. I would like to focus on source analysis which is beneficial to use as evidence to support your arguments.
For younger graders, I would like to keep delivering the content to a minimum and instead facilitate students' own learning ability by doing some fun activities or worksheet.
For IB History, I would focus more on essay writing, which I've done many of them myself during my undergrad. Starting from the structure of essays, development of strong arguments, How to use evidence to support the arguments, etc.
I'm happy to support essay writing, exam preparation, homework, research projects happening in your school.
