I am a mechanical engineer and have been giving private classes for a while. My teaching methods starts with the origin and basic use of the topic. I then explain the topic in detail with suitable videos and animations so that students get a clear picture of what the subject is all about. Then I move on to unsolved questions and let students think on it for sometime and then I solve the question stating the procedure and also state the areas where students normally make mistakes. This will help students to remember the concepts forever and also the critical points where they should not make mistakes. This will lead to overall greater understanding of subject.
