About Kunal
To the students who enjoy Maths: together, we'll build on your passion and strengthen your skills through our lessons. To the students who don't enjoy Maths: I will be your biggest supporter and believer. Step-by-step, we will build our Maths skills, understanding, confidence, but most importantly, comfort around this subject. To the parents: Every child has a unique relationship with Mathematics. There are multiple factors, such as learning experience, method of learning, social pressure, personal anxiety/pressure, etc. It is both my responsibility and privilege to design thoughtful lesson plans that support your child's mathematical abilities and mindset. Hence, I strongly believe "Anybody can learn Maths" and do well.

I graduated from the Education University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, holding a Teaching Certification, and completed minors focusing on international schools' curricula, with an IB Certificate of Teaching and Learning, as well as business career development. In Hong Kong, I worked in an International school for half a decade, teaching Mathematics from ages 11 to 18. I have also completed teaching internships in Primary schools that spanned 3 months. Overall, I have ample experience with KS2 and KS3, (I)GCSE, MYP and IBDP (MAAI). Over the years, I have also privately tutored Mathematics to children aged 5 to 15. For a period, I was fortunate enough to take on 7 kids a week. Over the years, my professors, colleagues and parents describe my teaching as engaging, thoughtful, well-rounded and holistic. The head of school was particularly impressed by how well I built rapport with my students and motivated them to come out of their comfort zones. It is important to note that Maths often isn’t a child’s favourite subject. But with compassion and patience, any child can learn to believe in their ability to do Maths. For the foreseeable future, I'm happy to take on students aged 5 to 15 (KS1 to GCSE/IGCSE, and equivalent) both in-person and online!
