About Damon
My name is Damon and I am a Psychology Student based in Brisbane however I am in the Mackay region for the remainder of 2018 and for the beginning of 2019. I have previously tutored maths throughout high school and i have mainly focused on working with younger children. I have also tutored Chemistry and P.E Theory to 12 - 14 year old kids.

My teaching method is mainly practical, this includes doing many examples and helping the children understand the processes through helping them work through basic problems through to more difficult ones. When the students are becoming more comfortable with the material that has bee given to them and they are confident in their ability to perform the tasks, then the next topic will be started on and can be touched upon whenever needed.
A typical lesson would begin with an overview of the topic, however, if the student has an understanding already then examples and walkthroughs will be done. After assisting the student, they will spend time individually solving the problem to prove they are confident and don't need to rely on help or assistance of any kind. Finally, a brief rundown will be given and some optional revision can be given and overlooked quickly in the next session.
