I have enjoyed having lessons with Ben. He’s very friendly and encouraging, and is a very experienced cross-genre violinist and teacher. I’ve appreciated his tips and suggestions to improve my technique for classical pieces. I’ve also enjoyed being introduced to bluegrass violin!

I have Violin classes with Benjamin for one year and he is a great teacher, with great passion for music! Every lesson is a masterclass in violin artistry, yet his explanations are clear and concise, tailored to me. Despite I am often not satisfied with my play Benjamin always supports me and points to the parts that I played good and improved! Really advise Benjamin as a great music teacher!

We love working with Ben! Ben is thoughtful and calm in interacting with our 6 year old daughter and inspires confidence in her playing. He provides excellent guidance on our practice routines so that we can remember the right things to work on every week and also shares inspirational music and videos to watch to stoke her ongoing interest!

Benjamin Barnes is an extraordinary teacher. His flexible and friendly teaching style has helped me learn different styles of violin playing and has given me deep insights into the instrument and the music. He has helped me grow as a violinist and musician and has given me the tools to continue to improve. I strongly recommend him as a teacher.
