I have been a student of Ahmad's for almost 2 years now. He is a one-on-one teacher focused on training self-sufficient musicians in Guitar/Bass/Keyboard/Drums. His approach to music theory and use of your instrument is cohesive and easy to understand. I didn't realize music was so complex, but Ahmad makes it easy to understand and will have you coming back for more. He is not your run-of-the-mill teacher; he is a highly skilled musician with years of experience, and it shows.
If you are serious about being a musician, whether performing or as a hobby, I guarantee you he will help you reach your goals. If you have the drive and dedication to apply the knowledge he gives you, you will see great improvement in your understanding of music and technical ability. He's such an amazing mentor that I regret not going to college to study music. He has a motto that he constantly emphasizes: "My goal is to train you to not need me." Why teach a student songs and how to play them when the student can apply much more practical skills and concepts and figure it out for themselves?
He also has a number of books/videos he's published in order to help students with sight-reading and rhythm. He has students of all ages, and I'd highly recommend him not only for the beginner looking to discover if music is right for them, but also the seasoned musician looking to learn new approaches to their music or rediscover old concepts. You will learn, you will write music, and you will have fun. I'm very grateful to have found Ahmad and study under him.

My son has been studying guitar with Ahmad for about a year and a half. He started as a beginner and has learned a tremendous amount in a short time. Ahmad is an excellent teacher - he is knowledgeable, patient, and flexible. I found Ahmad through Yelp and communicated via email before our trip. He was quick to respond and to schedule something for us. My daughter is almost 8 and has been playing for almost 3 years. Ahmad was able to take what she knows and work on fixing some of her problems. He also challenged her to learn notes with exercises. Ahmad also was able to recommend a guitar theory book that I have already purchased. He was by far her favorite teacher (as we did go somewhere else, trying to identify the best fit for the future).
