About Theodore
My name is Theodore John, and I've been playing guitar for over 12 years, with 6 years of professional teaching experience. I'm trained and experienced in multiple genres including rock, blues, folk, jazz, pop, classical, and metal. I understand that every student learns differently — some need structure and theory to feel grounded, while others just want to learn their favorite songs as quickly as possible. I adapt my teaching style to fit you, not the other way around. My students trust me because I'm patient, reliable, punctual, and genuinely excited to see them improve week after week. I'll show you proper technique from the very beginning so you avoid developing bad habits and build a strong, pain-free foundation that will serve you for years to come. Let's make music together.

Hi, I'm Theodore John, a guitar instructor with 6 years of experience teaching students of all ages — from young beginners to adults picking up the guitar for the first time. Whether you want to strum campfire songs for friends, shred on electric guitar, master jazz chords, write your own music, or just play for your own enjoyment, I'll customize each lesson to match your personal musical interests. We'll cover proper hand positioning, chords, strumming patterns, fingerpicking, scales, music theory, ear training, reading tablature and standard notation, and learning songs you actually love to listen to. My lessons are relaxed, encouraging, and focused on making you a well-rounded, confident musician. You don't need any prior experience — beginners are absolutely welcome, and I'll have you playing something recognizable by the end of your very first lesson.
