About Carolyn

I’m passionate about teaching and seeing others accomplish their goals. No matter how old you are, you can learn to play the guitar. This is something that inspires me as a teacher. I’m friendly, and I strive to make every lesson enjoyable. I understand that learning an instrument takes time and effort, so I’m very patient. I love to motivate students to be able to achieve more than they think is possible. This is what my favorite guitar teachers did for me, and this is what I try to do for my students as well.

About the lesson

During a lesson with me, I’ll seek to understand your guitar and music goals. Maybe you have been wanting to learn how to play a specific song. Maybe you found out that you just love the sound of the guitar. Whatever your goal is, I will seek for you to grow in your playing skills and your overall understanding of music. I base my teaching on a combination of resources so that we can better achieve your goals. While taking lessons with me, you will learn through self-discovery and positive reinforcement. I love to create an environment of mutual respect and support.

I’ve known Carolyn for five years since we met in college as music education majors. She is an encouraging, patient, and caring teacher who truly wants her students to grow and reach their potential. She teaches guitar, piano, and voice with passion and dedication.
We’ve also done many gigs together, and Carolyn is someone I can always count on to be prepared, dependable, and full of creative ideas. She is a wonderful musician and educator, and I highly recommend her to any student looking for a supportive and dedicated teacher.
