About Hannah
Hi, I am Hannah and I am currently an A-level student, who is studying English Literature. My love for teaching began in 2019, after I was chosen to participate in a trip around India, where I taught English in local schools and helped to paint and rebuild classrooms. I was able to work with incredible teachers in Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Delhi and Agra, who taught me invaluable knowledge on how to develop lesson plans, teach, and gain the attention of younger students.
I am really keen to help younger students, as tutors and role models have done for me over the course of my school years. I was honoured to be given the role of English prefect at my school and am currently predicted A’s in all my subjects.

As an English tutor, I like to focus on what my students struggle with the most. This includes elements of literacy such as comprehension, spelling, essay writing, creative writing and more. Growing up I had an English tutor, which I found incredibly helpful, especially in secondary school. I am more than happy to help students between 7-16. Specifically, I have experience helping GCSE students who are struggling with structuring their essays. As the year 13 English Prefect at my school, I have experience helping younger students as well and as a big sister, I have been helping my brother for years.
In my first session with a student, I will develop an understanding of what they need help on, and make myself familiar with any exam boards/curriculums they are currently using. After this, I will develop my own curriculum of topics to cover that will aid them with their learning at school. My sessions are usually an hour in length.
