About Eden
I'm a high school student who is extremely passionate and knowledgable about English. I often effectively explain advanced concepts to my classmates. I am confident in my knowledge and ability to enhance student's learning and success. This year in English class, a lot of people turned to me first when they needed help, and I was able to help all of them. I set a goal for myself to get the highest mark in the class and I am proud to say that I did achieve that goal. I am very excited about the opportunity to help a child struggling academically. My schedule is extremely flexible, and where we have our sessions is completely up to my students.

My teaching strategies vary based on the student I am working with. I can adapt my teaching strategies based on how the student best learns. I believe that students should be rewarded for their successes, rather than being punished for their mistakes. A basic session with me would include sitting down with my students and going over their work with them in a way that they can comprehend. Between sessions, I will encourage my students to communicate with me about any other questions. I enjoy working with younger children, so my classes are meant for grade 1-8 students best. My biggest academic strength is English. What makes me a special tutor is that I can understand and relate to the students and how they are feeling, as I used to struggle academically as well. This also means that I have developed good strategies to make better study habits and improve my learning, which I can share with my future students.

Eden is a very kind and understanding person, and is great with kids. We have been friends for a long time and she has explained many concepts to me effectively. I really believe she would make an amazing teacher.
Eden tutored my daughter for math multiple times and she has been very helpful each time! She has had many math tutors in the past but I find Eden to be the best one since she is so patient when my daughter cannot understand.
