About Tara
I earned a 1600 on the SAT, scored a 5 on AP Calc BC, and I'm going to Harvard to study (pure) math and computer science. I took Math55a&b. I spent a summer at an international math camp (HCSSiM). I have training as a tutor both privately and as a part of a corporation. I like talking about math and helping others see the beauty of mathematics.

I can provide tutoring to support students taking a class or learning independently. For tutoring to accompany a class, I ask for the syllabus/class materials so I can prepare appropriate lessons. Often, I help by guiding students through homework or practice problems. If I identify a gap in understanding/knowledge, I pause problems to explain, then focus on problems that use that new knowledge. For tutoring a subject separate from a class, I prepare some lecture, followed by practice problems, and I create problem/homework sets upon request. If you're interested in SAT prep, I can provide a series of sessions tailored to that.
