About Maya
I am a dedicated and experienced tutor specialising in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology at GCSE and A-Level. I aim to inspire confidence in my students by creating a supportive and structured learning environment where complex topics are broken down into clear, manageable steps. I enjoy the sciences and have actively participated in academic competitions, including the Chemistry Olympiad, which strengthened my subject knowledge and problem-solving skills. My teaching focuses on improving understanding, exam technique, and independent learning through active recall and exam-style practice across multiple exam boards. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student to ensure steady progress. I am currently studying MPharm (Integrated Master’s) at Newcastle University, with strong A-Level results in Biology (A), Psychology (A), and Chemistry (B). I maintain a professional, patient, and encouraging approach in every lesson.

I support students of all abilities, whether they are aiming to improve their grades, build confidence, or achieve top marks in exams. I also offer support for students studying across different exam boards, adapting materials and teaching style accordingly.
