About Karis
I volunteered in equine therapy and special needs childcare for about ten years, nannied and helped homeschool six kids overseas, and have been in ABA for three years. I have experience with individuals with Autism, ODD/PDA, ADHD, and more. I am very passionate about making sure everything I say and do is helping my kids become as independent as possible and giving them every tool I can to help them succeed. Safety, independence, and quality of life are my top priorities.

My own struggles with motivation and focus in school as a kid have given me so much empathy for those struggling with similar things! I have a knack for being fun, encouraging, and finding ways to personalize learning. I have many years of experience with kids who need extra support and I always put regulation and trust above checking the boxes. If we don’t give kids the tools they need pushing too much won’t benefit anyone!
