About Lana
Hi! I’m Lana. I have just finished my A Levels, studying English Language and Literature, Maths and Music and I will hopefully be heading to Cambridge in October to study Music. I am predicted to achieve high grades in my exams, and achieved high A*s in both of my English GCSEs as well as full marks in my SATs!
I have lots of experience of working with children as a dance and musical theatre instructor, as well as as a violin teacher. I have also been tutored myself since the age of 14 and am therefore aware of suitable and successful methods in which to achieve results!
I am available for both online and in-person tutoring and I am well-read and have always loved English. I am flexible with dates and timings depending on what works best for you!

My planned session structure is incredibly flexible and will be tailored to the individual student’s needs! A vague overview is below:
For early reading and writing - sessions will comprise of simple comprehension tasks completed together at first and then independently. Sessions will be fully catered to the student’s individual ability and needs.
For SATs - sessions will comprise of similar tasks to that of early reading and writing, although to a higher standard. Sessions will also include in-depth discussion about how to pick up marks within exams. Students will be set short tasks to be completed in between sessions in order to solidify knowledge.
For GCSEs - sessions will comprise of in-depth conversation about how to fully answer required questions. Sessions will cover in-depth context for each text in order to fully understand the texts as well as covering essay technique and how to structure exam responses. Tutoring is available for both English Language and English Literature GCSE.
