As stated before, I received my Masters degree in Special Education: Learning Disabilities from American University, a top education university in Washington, D.C. I have spent three years focusing on how to help students bridge learning gaps and stay on track with the curriculum in school. A typical lesson plan consists of me modeling the learning objective, the learner and I practicing the objective ourselves, and then the learner performing the exercise alone while I help support. This is the I do, we do, you do method that education researchers have found most effective. My lessons always involve some sort of movement or activity to keep my students engaged and having fun while learning.
