About Vanessa

Hi, I am Dr. Vanessa. I have lectured at University of New South Wales, University of Technology Sydney, and at prestigious UK Universities including Anglia Ruskin, Cambridge. I have published three academic books on arts and culture.

I can support you to complete written and verbal assessments in a broad range of Humanities subjects, including Arts, Design, Media, English, Creative Writing, Art History and Social Sciences.

One of my proudest achievements is gaining a PhD as a Dyslexic person. If you have Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD or any other form of neurodivergence I can help you work on confidence, organization and managing anxiety. I am kind, patient and very good at offering encouragement.

I was born and raised in England, and I studied my undergraduate at Glasgow School of Art, and my Master's Degree at University of the Arts, London.

About the lesson

*I can help you break down assessment rubrics, understand marking criteria, and plan your assignment

*I can help you understand what academic tutors are looking for in terms of structure, and how you craft your paragraphs and sentences

*If you already have a draft, I can provide line-by-line feedback and help you understand how to perfect your argument and referencing

*I have lived experience as a neurodivergent academic, and I can help you overcome any low self-confidence and self-doubt created by forms of neurodivergence such as dyslexia and ADHD

*We will look at your mindset as well as your academic skills, to help you improve your overall academic performance and levels of enjoyment

*We work on shared documents so I can give you instant feedback and support

I admire Vanessa’s dedication in achieving her academic goals as a Dyslexic scholar. And in supporting neurodiverse students and young people to do their best academic study. I have known Vanessa as a friend for almost seven years, and I have watched her excel as a Lecturer and teacher in that time.
