About Helen
Starting my violin path at 7 through the Suzuki method defined my pedagogical core of imitation before analysis. You deserve a mentor who integrates rigor with warmth to ensure your technique evolves through music theory and left-hand agility. I have guided 100 students toward state finals while teaching scales and arpeggios for ABRSM or Trinity exams.
My focus on ear training and tone production helps you achieve PRECISION in every performance. My background includes a BMus from the New England Conservatory. I demand excellence from every single pupil.

Instruction begins by establishing a deliberate pace where feedback focuses on specific bowing techniques like spiccato and staccato. You will experience a structured environment that emphasizes orchestral playing and technical refinement during our 60 minute sessions.
I create custom scale and etude sheets for each student to address unique developmental hurdles encountered during 11 years of my professional practice. This systematic approach ensures that you build a solid foundation while gaining 8 custom practice resources throughout our work together. Mastering the violin requires patience and discipline above all else.
