About Alexa
I am a doctoral student currently earning my Doctoral of Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioner Degree!
I am an alumni from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing with a minor in Diversity Studies. While I was earning my Bachelors I earned an Associates Liberal Arts at the same time.
I have 2+ years experience in the collegiate level of English as an English Tutor helping with essay editing in the APA and MLA formatting for an array of students and majors.
My teaching formatting is defiantly tailored to the student based around their needs, strengths and weaknesses due to the simple principle that all students do not learn the same.
I come from a long line of principles and teachers and my passion is to help students reach their goals and unlock their potential in the world of academics!

My teaching methods are very much based on how the student is. I will get to know the student first and see what their concerns and wants are from the lesson and with that I will tailor the lesson plan towards their strengths and around their weaknesses.
I have experience with essay and resume editing from having 2+ years experience working as an English tutor at the collegiate level at UT Arlington's Writing Center.
I also have experience helping at the school age level with vocabulary lessons as well as topic writing guidance for standardized testing ex:STARS.
