About Orla

I offer my 5th Year Chemistry Starter Course, Biology Foundations for Senior Cycle & Maths catch-up before 5th year courses. Also suits TY students preparing for senior cycle.

I am an experienced and qualified Maths, Biology & Chemistry registered teacher/tutor offering online/face to face LC grinds (and Junior cert). 1:1 sessions available. Focus on exam technique, confidence, and H1/H2 preparation.

About the lesson

Hello! I am a Masters qualified and experienced university & post-primary teacher and private tutor specializing in leaving certificate math at all levels and Junior Cycle math and Science. Also university calculus, linear algebra, organic chemistry, pharmacy, biochem. I teach SEN students also. I am Passionate about building confidence, improving results, and supporting students of all abilities through patient, structured, and exam-focused lessons. SEN, dyslexia, and dyscalculia support available. Free first lesson included.

I specialize in helping learners understand key concepts, strengthen weak areas, and develop the confidence to apply their knowledge effectively in exams and classwork. I also have experience supporting students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, special educational needs, and learning difficulties by adapting lessons to suit each student’s individual learning style.

My approach is patient, supportive, interactive, and highly structured, with a strong focus on building confidence and developing a growth mindset. I believe every student can succeed with the right support and guidance. I work closely with students to identify gaps in understanding, focus on core basics first, and gradually build towards more difficult topics with confidence.

Lessons are engaging, personalized, and exam-focused. I provide detailed notes, presentations, interactive visuals, regular tests, revision reviews, and exam paper strategies to help students maximize their results. I also offer free support between classes so students can ask questions whenever they need extra help.

I also tutor third level differential and integral calculus, linear algebra, experimental physics, organic chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacy tech, biochemistry and I am a Thesis support mentor. My students come from UCD, Maynooth, UL, SETU, ATU, Galway. Students reviews available.
