About Anastasiia
MIT grad (Physics + Computer Science), currently finishing my M.S. in Computer Science at MIT. I’ve worked in astrophysics research (with a first-author publication), and I’ve also been a Software Engineer and Data Analyst. Right now, I’m a Research Assistant at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).
I’ve been tutoring for 5+ years through programs like VIPTutor and StudySpace, and I’m always excited to meet new students and share my love for math and science
At MIT, I’ve spent multiple semesters as a TA and grader in both Physics and CS—helping students during lectures and practicums, writing exam problems, and grading homework.
I’ve also taught physics full-time for a month as an exchange teacher, designing the curriculum from scratch and running a high school classroom on my own. It was a great crash course in clear explanations, pacing, and meeting students where they are.
In high school, I competed in physics Olympiads and won prizes at the Russian National Olympiad and several International Olympiads. As an international student who applied to U.S. colleges, I know how intense the process can feel. I’m happy to help you shape your resume and essays, and brainstorm strong ideas.

- As a tutor my primary goal is to tailor the lessons to my student. When I start sessions with a new student, I am always eager to hear the goals and the expectations from our time together and then plan my lessons accordingly.
- I would love to help you with preparations for standardized tests: Physics and Math SATs, Physics AP's; give advice on college applications essays; help with your physics, math or CS coursework; or just help you increase your proficiency in subjects your are interested in!
- I have extensive experience in teaching individual lessons as well as planning a curriculum for a high school classroom. I have been involved in teaching classes at MIT as a TA, as a grader and as a tutor.
