Hello! My name is Briony and I am currently training as a secondary English teacher at the University of Manchester. I have experience of teaching Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) and Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) English Language and English Literature in secondary schools in the North West of England. I am confident to tutor English Language at Key Stage 3 and 4, and English Literature at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 (A Level).
I speak French and German at a conversational level and would be confident to tutor these languages at Key Stage 3.
I also have experience of tutoring Literacy, Numeracy, Science and French at primary level and have volunteered in primary schools, so am happy to work with Key Stage 2 children as well.
I'm a confident, outgoing person and one of my key strengths as a teacher is my ability to engage with my students and build a good rapport with them, increasing their own enjoyment in the subject. I have a strong knowledge of National Curriculum expectations and am able to adapt lessons and strategies to meet the needs of all pupils.
