About Kyleigh
I am a fully certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and I currently work for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) as a high school supply teacher.
I graduated from Carleton University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in English and History, and from Nipissing University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Education for Intermediate and Senior Learners.
I have had over 13 years of coaching, mentoring, and leadership experience, and over 8 years of in-class and virtual teaching experience. Additionally, I have 10 years of customer service, operations management, and scheduling coordination in my resume. So although I am early in my career in education, I have been actively building my academic and life skills for over a decade to become a professional and reliable educator for my students, my colleagues, and myself.

Hello, I'm Kyleigh (or Ms. G) and I am a high school supply teacher in Ontario! My teachables are in History and English, but I am open to supporting students in a variety of humanities and arts courses. I will be taking on primarily high school students, but I am available to help college/university students, and anyone looking to refine their skills in English and History.
I focus each lesson on the student's strengths and learning styles in order to help each student understand their assignments and help build confidence in personal problem solving outside of our tutoring lessons. Every student has the capability of doing well in school, but not every student learns the same way, so I help support differentiated learning in all of my classes.
Some services I offer are as follows:
- Essay prep and editing
- Reading and writing exercises
- Prep for the Literacy Test (mandatory Ontario exam)
- Creative Writing
- History lessons and activities
- Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology courses
- Family and Parenting Studies
- Many more customizable tutoring lessons
All tutoring lessons will be based on the topic/unit/time period of your choosing and I will prep a variety of materials for every class to help solidify your understanding.
If you are outside of North American time zones, I am willing to work with you! I reserve Fridays and Saturdays for overnight lessons with students who are outside of North America, so you can work with me at a decent hour in your time zone. My timezone is EST, so I can easily accommodate your timezone throughout the week.

For my rates, I am currently charging below my hourly teaching rate.
Not only am I new to SuperProf, but I want to be as accessible as possible for a variety of students of all backgrounds. Once I am more stable financially in my new position with the school board, I will be looking into dropping my prices further for more students to attend. Thank you for understanding!
