High school English teacher of 33 years to help with reading, writing, critical thinking and literary analysis

I had Kathryn as my junior & senior year English teacher in high school at TRN. She truly is the best because she listens to you if you have questions. She is not a tough teacher at all. She is very easy going & takes the time to review things if you do not understand it. I truly recommend her as your tutor as she inspired me to love books & the English subject more.

Kathryn and I have known each other for the course of her entire teaching career. It's remained clear to me the entire time that her commitment to her students as an educator has never wavered, and has only grown over the years. She has taught high school English on multiple grade levels, as well as taught Journalism.
Kathryn is organized, focused on how best to communicate the subject matter she is teaching to the students where they are "at", a great listener, patient and has a fantastic sense of humor-a quality more important professionally than most people realize.
If your student needs extra academic help, she should be who you contact. I come from a family of educators, and she is, in short, an excellent teacher.

She was my high school teacher and I graduated in 2019. Still to this day I think she is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. Plus she’s probably one of the only reasons I passed her class was the way she taught her students. Made you feel engaged in learning. Kit/Kathryn is phenomenal! I used to hate just genuinely being in class but kit genuinely makes its a blast and draws you in! She doesnt make you feel a type of way if you dont know something and will always help you understand in your own way of learning. Definitely would recommend if you need any sort of help!
