About Ema

My name is Ema. I am a native English speaker from South Africa. Growing up in a place as culturally and linguistically diverse as South Africa, I’ve been exposed to so many different cultures and languages. Having friends and students from such varied backgrounds has inspired in me a deep appreciation for “difference”. Along with my interest in Art and Social Studies, this appreciation grows deeper still. Because of covid, I haven’t yet been able to travel and experience further cultural and language differences, so I hope to further experience and learn about different backgrounds through this experience.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Ema. I have always had a love for Art and the English language. As an artist, I wholeheartedly believe that learning should be fun! And even a little messy sometimes! In my classroom my students are free to express themselves through Art or through more traditional learning.

I am a High School graduate with a TEFL certification who is passionate about the English language as well as teaching Art!
