As a career educator for over 30 years, one of the greatest lessons I have learned is to listen to my students with an open mind and heart. Understanding and respecting that each individual possesses a unique ability to learn and grow, I provide instructional techniques that empower students to develop and implement effective, life-long learning strategies. By utilizing inquiry-based learning, critical analysis strategies, and modeling techniques, I lead my students to become more confident and proficient in understanding, synthesizing, and applying their knowledge in reading and writing. My approach includes creating a structured learning environment, establishing clear and doable goals/objectives, implementing direct and indirect instruction, allocating time management strategies for successful completion of assignments, evaluation of performance, and analysis of feedback through reflection.
