About Kate
I have several years' experience tutoring students across a range of areas - from school students, to college and university students. This has been both on a voluntary and paid basis.
I am passionate about instilling confidence and curiosity. Through my work tutoring, I have had the pleasure of seeing students grow in confidence and excitement for the subjects I teach.

I have two years' experience tutoring students in 11+, and Maths and English up to GCSE level. I also have two years' experience as a teaching assistant in Philosophy at the University of Glasgow, and have taught classes in philosophy and social science at Glasgow International College.
My approach centers around the needs of individual students. To start, we will have a discussion of the areas you feel you want to work on, followed by a short assessment to highlight strengths and weaknesses. We will then have regular conversations and catch-ups to discuss progress, and to give you the opportunity to highlight any areas you are finding more challenging. The lessons themselves will be a mixture of supported and independent practice, where we will work together to get you a strong understanding of the topic which will be consolidated with independent work.
I am offering lessons in Maths and English up to and including GCSE/National 5 level. I am also offering tuition in philosophy up to and including first year undergraduate level.
