About Naya

My approach and nature as a tutor is calm, patient, firm and kind with a high expectation that all the children I teach will succeed to the best of their ability.
I create a bespoke learning plan for each child, designed around their specific educational needs.

About the lesson

I have 27 years total experience of primary school teaching and 17 years of experience as a class teacher in both primary and secondary special needs schools. I am located in North London.
I am qualified and experienced in working with children with a variety of special education needs. These include; down syndrome, ASD, hearing and visual impairments, cerebral palsy and developmental learning delays.
My sessions run for 30 minutes to 1 hour; depending on the needs of the individual.
I tutor children from ages 7-16, with a minimum of 2 sessions per week for maximum progress opportunities.
I tutor the following subjects: reading, phonics, mathematics.

I know the curriculum and statutory requirements children should follow and use a holistic approach to ensure any gaps are covered during sequenced sessions.
I begin sessions with a baseline assessment and then create a half termly sequence of lesson to follow.
