About Lila

Hi! My name is Lila, and I’m excited to offer tutoring services. I’m a junior in high school, completing my studies online through FLVS, which allows me to balance my time and focus on helping others. I’ve been babysitting for over three years, so I’m experienced in working with kids and always care for each child as if they were my own. While I’m new to tutoring, I’m eager to try something new and help students build confidence in their learning. I believe every child learns differently, and I’m happy to create a fun and supportive environment where they can succeed. I offer a free first session of 30 mins kind of as a meet-and-greet just like I do with any in-person clients. This is so you as a parent/gaurdian or teacher can get comfortable knowing your kiddo is in good hands aswell as having an oportunity to ask any other questions you might have. Whether it’s homework help or building foundational skills, I’m here to help!

About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on making learning simple and fun. I use fun activities, games, and clear explanations to help kids understand and stay interested. A typical lesson includes reviewing what they already know, teaching a new spelling rule or pattern, practicing with activities like matching games or word puzzles, and finishing with a quick review. What makes me different is that I adjust my lessons to fit each child’s learning style so they feel confident and happy while learning. These lessons are for young children in early grades who are just starting to build their spelling skills.

When teaching kids to spell, I keep it easy by breaking words into smaller parts, using songs or rhymes, and letting them practice through fun games. This keeps learning fun and helps them remember better!
