About Emma
Hi! I'm Emma, a teaching student and long-time lover of English and History. I am a firm believer that English and communication are the absolute basis of everything we do as students, communicators, and learners; putting a PEE paragraph together might sound boring, but when you are able to write a coherent, strong, inspiring essay, you'll think again! Most of all, I believe that these subjects can be truly fun while also being successful - you can find something exciting in Shakespeare, or end up talking excitedly about modern poetry, you just haven't found it yet, and that's what I'm here for.

My lessons are all about you as the student! As a trainee teacher and someone with experience tutoring Y7 -Y13, I will always focus on you, your needs, your expectations, and most importantly: what YOU feel is important to your subject.
I am very experienced in essay writing and reviewing through my proofreading career at Studiosity, my degree from Queens' University Belfast, and previous tutoring; I believe half the battle is secure essay technique, and I have many resources and thinking strategies to help you get this part of your subject secure and confident.
My lessons are usually 30 minutes to an hour, and I am very comfortable teaching Y7 to Y13 in History, English, and general essay writing skills.
