All students have a right to succeed. It pleases me to help young people see their potential and the many opportunities that lie before them.

With my training in mental health counselling in addition to my qualifications in education I am confident that I can help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

I am a certified High School Teacher with credentials to teach young adults in college level courses.

As a teacher and Deputy Head Teacher, I developed strategies that removed barriers to student success. For instance, creating curriculum that reflected student diversity in the classroom was key to improving student retention and achievement.

With that said, my lessons are student centred. Students take an active role in their own learning.

In addition to my postgraduate degree, I completed my Bachelor of Honours in History and Bachelor of Education in 2008. My undergraduate studies focused on Early Modern History, History of Feminism, and Modern German History.

I am also pleased to share with you that I completed my specialist in History in 2015, and received Qualified Teacher Status in 2019.

In addition, I completed courses in Adult Education and Academic Advising. As part of my training, I gained a broader understanding of the socioemotional challenges that affected high school and young adults in postsecondary education and in turn developed key strategies in improving student retention
