About Isabelle
I am a second year History student at King's College London, achieving consistent 2:1s and firsts for my assignments. I achieved an A* for First Language English at IGCSE and a level 7 for both History HL and English HL in IB, which curriculum I am very familiar with. I previously tutored a student from Hong Kong online in English IGCSE, and I worked extensively with improving the student's essay writing and analytical skills. For History, I am well learned on European history, having covered both the medieval and modern period. I have experience in a range of historical topics and period, including the History of the Silk Roads, medieval Christianity and War in the Pacific.

My teaching method combines an informative and interactive approach. I will compile educational materials regarding the course and the topic as handouts, followed by a session focusing on writing essays. Practising past paper exams and creating essay plans, as well as detecting patterns and key points in past year papers will be my focus to ensure that the student knows how to write an effective and concise response to achieve the best possible grade in the exam.
