About Tell
My name is Tell Joyner. I am thirty three years old. I just received my masters degree in history at Utah State University. I did my Masters project on piety, kingship, and masculinity in 13th century France so i am most comfortable with medieval europe. However on the praxis history exam i got a 199 out of 200 so i am comfortable with both american and world history. I have been tutoring history online for one and a half years, so i have some experience helping students with history homework. I would prefer to do a mixture of lectures and discussions of readings of primary source documents. I would lecture for a half an hour to forty five minutes and then discuss readings for fifteen minutes to thirty minutes. As a tutor what sets me apart is, my passion for historical details and for interesting stories. I am an old fashioned historian in that i love "great men" and wars. I will however include race, class, and gender history in my lectures and readings. My lessons are for students between middle school and college.
