About Javinda
Javinda Wickramasinghe is a dedicated Science Teacher with 9 years of experience, based in Battaramulla. He has a proven track record of engaging students through hands-on lessons, with a strong focus on student achievement.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, Colombo, completed in February 2015. Since 2024, he has worked at Horizon College International, where he teaches Integrated Science to Grade 9 students, building foundational scientific literacy and inquiry skills, and teaches Chemistry at Advanced Level, preparing students for external examinations through structured lesson planning, practical labs, and exam-focused revision. From 2018 to 2024, he worked at Royal Institute International School, where he delivered science lessons aligned with the national curriculum for upper grade levels. He also served as House Manager for Sheffield House, coordinating student participation in the school sports meet, and was a member of the Disciplinary Committee, contributing to student conduct and discipline management.
