About Léo

I started English in 6th grade in a classic way before falling in love with the language during a trip to England. During middle school I quickly realized that school would not be enough for me to reach the level of English that I wanted so much. So I started to learn by myself through video games, music, movies and series. This autonomous learning allowed me to obtain a level that always placed me ahead of the other students. To validate my level I then joined a preparatory course for the Cambridge exam and I obtained my C1 in year 12. Today I got my baccalaureate with 20/20 in English. English has allowed me to travel, to learn anything that comes to my mind, to communicate with anyone and to access a lot of cultural resources. It is these opportunities that English allows to reach that I want my students to benefit from. I am a passionate person, very curious but also caring and empathetic. I want to share my passion for this incredible language that many French students are discouraged from learning by school education.

About the lesson

This course is aimed at beginners as well as advanced, whether you have a school background or not. My goal is to adapt to the specific needs of my student, put him/her at ease so that he/she gains confidence and learns in the best conditions. I myself was a student at the French school, so I know all the weaknesses of this classical education and how to develop an excellent level despite this. In a relaxed way, I will teach the essential basics of the language as well as the methods best suited to the student's personality to learn and develop their abilities independently. We will work on classic exercises for the basics of grammar and conjugations. In terms of oral and written comprehension as well as the development of vocabulary and pronunciation, I like to work with series, films, music according to the tastes of the student. Oral expression also occupies a central place in my course, I approach it without stressing the student, by valuing the efforts rather than feeling guilty about the errors, I help to develop the ease of expression as well as the pronunciation and accent. I would like to point out that I always give the student at the end of the course opportunities and recommendations so that he/she is confronted to English outside of class without feeling it as homeworks.
