About Kayla
Hi I'm Kayla. I'm a current grade 11 student navigating through the international baccalaureate diploma (IB). I understand the difficulty in transitioning between grades, which is why I provide support for students in mastering study techniques and strategies to help them gain confidence.
Together, we will learn to study with structure, ensuring that studying techniques are not a challenge when preparing for a test or for an exam. Let's start hitting your goals together and turn preparation into more manageable steps.

My teaching methodology: I believe that learning a subject requires a strong base and inquiry-based learning, which can be adapted for younger ages.
- Concepts over rote memorisation: Understanding the curriculum leads to better results for future lessons
- Breaking down concepts: allow for students to understand in manageable blocks, instead of being overwhelmed.
- Active Recall: asking intermittent questions to ensure that the student is engaged

- Simplifying the content into a digital cheatsheet, which serves as a reference for tests
- Guided practice, asking questions and providing clarifications to concepts
