About Aine
My name is Aine, originally from Northern Ireland, and I moved in 2022 to Manchester to pursue in gender, sexuality and culture at thr University of Manchester. In my spare time I enjoy baking and writing, anything where I can be creative, especially when I can create physically with my hands. I want to pursue tutoring to pass on the skills I learned over my school years (and am still learning) to the next generation and to watch students grow and achieve the best results they can. This does not necessarily mean A*s every time; if my students take one important thing from me,I would hope it is that their grades do not limit their value as an individual.

I strongly believe in working with the students in order to achieve their goals, rather than simply talking at them, and working at the student-s pace achieves better results than dragging then through the material. I find that learning practically, writing out practically answers, and focusing on how to structure the argument, is a strong way to practice for exams. I want to encourage student's creativity when it comes to learning, note making and revision techniques and help then find what works for them. Above all I want to take an encouraging approach to my tutoring where mistakes are viewed always to develop.
I also look not only at the content, but at the exam itself, and can help with structuring answers, time management and essay writing.
