About Silvia
- ENGLISH TUTOR I have taught private lessons both online and face-to-face to all ages and backgrounds for over four years. My experience has given me a wealth of approaches and materials which I can use to provide personalised lessons that are relevant to each student's needs. - EDITOR AND CREATIVE ADVISER My editing experience has been varied - including a non-fiction book about dementia, a philosophy book, interviews for design magazines, and multiple presentations and scripts for conferences. I use my academic experience and natural fluency to improve all types of written work, whether it's essays, emails, or creative fiction. - LITERATURE GRADUATE In 2015 I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a First Class BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, where I gained valuable skills in research, essay writing, editing creative work and seminar discussion. - WRITER Creative writing has been my life-long passion. I write poetry, short fiction, and non-fictional accounts about my travels and experiences. I have had stories featured in anthologies and magazines, as well as publishing my first collection of poetry last year. I am currently working on larger projects.

Hi, I'm Silvia! I'm a writer and tutor from Snowdonia, Wales. I specialise in teaching English as a foreign language, creative writing classes, and editing written work. My belief is that we learn best when we are engaged and interested. That's why I take the time to get to know my students as individuals, so I can create fun and relevant lessons which are actually useful in day to day life. I teach one-to-one lessons by Skype, which means you can have a personal and relaxed learning experience from the comfort of your home (or anywhere with WiFi!) --- I offer: - Unique and informative discussion-based lessons using worksheets on a variety of topics - One-to-one or group creative writing classes with fun exercises and prompts - Editing a whole range of material from academic reports, cover letters, essays and book manuscripts - Help with presentations, meetings and other forms of public speaking - A friendly and supportive guide on your language-learning journey --- My hourly rate includes: - Looking at the homework task and making any changes - Discussing the main lesson topic - Correcting mistakes - A follow-up email including lesson summary, homework task, vocabulary and pronunciation to practise, and areas to improve Get in touch if you want to know more - I'll be happy to hear from you!
