About Tamim
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and will be starting medical school. My background includes clinical research experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, tutoring in chemistry, biology, math, and history, and executive functioning coaching for students who need support with organization, planning, and study skills. I also scored above the 90th percentile on the MCAT. As a tutor, I try to combine strong subject knowledge with patience, structure, and clear communication. I know how overwhelming difficult classes and exams can feel, so I focus on helping students build both understanding and confidence.

I teach by focusing on clarity, structure, and confidence. Many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because the material has not been explained in a way that makes sense to them. My lessons are designed to break complex topics into simpler parts, connect ideas together, and give students practical strategies they can use outside of tutoring. A typical lesson may include reviewing difficult concepts, working through practice questions, identifying patterns in mistakes, and building a study plan. As a future medical student with a strong background in science, research, and test preparation, I bring both academic experience and patience to my sessions. My goal is to help students feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their learning.
