About Emily
I am an Industrial Design student with a strong design background, having studied Product Design and Art at both GCSE and A Level.
In the past, I have had roles within a school environment where I mentored and tutored younger students taking design. I am competent in all areas from theory, to CAD and practical work and am happy to teach and advise in all these areas.
I am hopeful for a future career as a Design teacher and would love to take the first big step towards this in being a tutor!

As a 2nd year university student, I am most confident in my ability to assist GCSE and A Level students.
My aim is to help students to develop their confidence as a designer. I consider my teaching method to be primarily demonstrative but I am also keen engage with how my students learn best and to ensure that I am reaching them as best as I can, making them feel comfortable in the subject being taught.

Emily has played a vital role throughout my first year of industrial design at uni, helping me start to understand all aspects of design. At the start of the year I was a complete beginner; however Emily has supported me so much which has given me the extra confidence and has made me feel more comfortable when attempting the given tasks. As a tutor Emily is very kind, reassuring and has a wide depth of knowledge in this subject area.
Emily really helped me with my product design course & I would definitely recommend to others. She explained things in detail but also in a way that was easy to understand and comprehend. She’s also super friendly, patient and makes you feel comfortable, I’m so grateful for all the help she’s given me :)
